Funny that a site claiming to be the "hub of all things tapeless" you don't mention the Ikegami/Avid editcam or the Ikegami/Toshiba CF system.

Hi All
BVE 2010 will see the first UK public showing of significant improvements of NVS2500.
The highlights of upgraded features and newly added functions are,
- Copy and full verify with a single click.
- The data (compare) VERIFY speed rates now supporting up to 80Mb/Sec for a SxS card. The Verify speed as fast as the copy speed.
- Twice faster backup speed with CF/SD/MS cards.
Twice faster backup speed with SYNC & Multi-copy functions.
- Copying internal hard drive data directly to a CF/SD/MS card.
- Delete the contents of memory cards, including SxS and P2 cards with no need of a laptop.
These will be very useful for the field shooter who needs to rotate media quickly.
- Supporting video preview of .avi file that taken from PMW-350.
- Added support for SxS-1 and life time expired check.
- Burning back-up folders to a Blu-Ray drive (BD-R/BD).
Come to visit our stand H44 (Earls Ct 2) for a demonstration.
Thank you!
P.S. NEXTO DI UK will host a prize draw to win a NVS2500 500GB at BVE this year. Register your interests in our booth, H44.

Well, I am a proud owner of HVX200a and had the opportunity to test this baby. I must say, I was impressed, but not as much as to switch from my HVX. =) The price does not justify the difference, if you know what I mean.

Might be like the issue I had with an SD card recently. I was only about to put about 900 meg on a 2 gig card, even after reformatting. Then I discovered that I needed to format FAT32 and not NTSF and then it took the entire 2 gig. Just a thought since this make the disc like any other destination, "allowing it to be used like any piece of IT storage."

Virus protection scans drive when you insert your XDCAM disc.
This causes the PC to lock up or crash.
We use Sophos and we configured it not to scan any removable drive assigned to the letter X. Set this up and then before you load your disc, ensure you have assigned your XDCAM drive to the letter X.
Imports should then work.
